eyeweiss at GDC 2005

San Francisco is this year's host of the annual Game Developers Conference.

GDc 2005 in San Francisco.
Ok, so we arrived two days early. This was good, as the conference stated out with a really good talk by Katherine Isibister.

First things first, though. I went to see Uematsu Sama at the Nob Hill Auditorium, Dear Friends was the title of the symphonic concert featureing music from the last ten installments of Final Fantasy. The music was performed acurrately and directed accordingly, showing just how little interpretation and subtlety is present in Video Game Scores. If you played the games, you get the bonus of emotional connection, so people enjoyed it anyway. I fell asleep from jet lag.

Next day we walked a little too much, but here are some impressions. More to follow.
